Right now I look at all the control points and check for gaps. this seems to be inefficient.
Use CrvEnd or CrvStart to place points at the gap if there is one.

As explained, you can turn on the curve control points, select the start and end, then apply a _SetPt command to both, and -with the snap on- snap to either the start or the end.
Other possibility is to use _MakePeriodic, which joins the two extremities, and puts the adjacent control points into tangency. Cool Blog, by the way :)
