Decorative Scrolls

I am hoping someone can help me... I am attempting to draw some decorative scrolls (similar to those in the attached picture), and was wondering if anybody knew the correct method to go about it. I can free hand sketch thedamn things, but they don't look so flowing when I'm interpreting them in Rhino.
